Post Special Film Techniques In Youth Sports Photography
For example, in youth sports photography tungsten-balanced film used in daylight gives pictures a predominantly blue cast. In some cases this can give a nightime look to a picture, or, if the film is slightly overexposed, a hard, slightly bleached look - this is often seen in fashion photography.

Using daylight-balanced color film in tungsten light gives results with a predominantly orange cast. This too can be exploited creatively, especially when the film is slightly overexposed, aspect that might occur in youth sports photography business. In either case, be imaginative and prepared to experiment with new effects.

Infrared film gives strangely colored pictures. Black and white infrared film gives a night effect even on pictures taken in daylight. The results can be unpredictable, and some trial and error is needed to get good results in youth sports photography - though there is always the possibility of getting a striking effect by accident. Processing infrared film can be a problem, since the chemical process required is the type known as E4.
